Villa Ravello

This lovely private villa rental has 3 bedrooms each with doors to terraces overlooking the Amalfi Coast; it’s situated in a gorgeous location just 1 km outside of Ravello famous for its villas such as Villa Cimbrone, Villa Rufolo and for the Wagner concerts which are held here during the summer season.

Location

The town center or Ravello can be reached on foot along the 1 kilometer road (about 10 minutes walking) or along centuries-old stairways which climb up the hill and take directly to the main square where you will find a pharmacy, post office, newsstand, grocery, wine and cheese shops, very good restaurants and open air cafés. Also in the town center is the bus stop from where SITA busses connect Ravello to other towns along the coast including Amalfi (beaches), Positano, Minori, Salerno and Sorrento. From Amalfi, boats and hydrofoils depart for Positano, Sorrento, Capri and Salerno. The boat services to Naples and Ischia operate only during the summer season (July/August).

If you enjoy hiking, there is a natural trail next to the Villa's gate, which allows you to reach Amalfi or Minori on foot in about 40-45 minutes.

Property Details

There are 2 ways to reach the entrance of the villa. From the road where you may be able to find parking, there are 25 steps leading down to the top floor (main entrance) of the villa. From the garage at the base of the property, there are 45 steps up to reach the ground floor of the villa. There is room in the private garage for 2 medium sized cars.

Villa & Terraces on 3 levels: (1,614 sq ft + 1,291 sq ft of terraces)
The main entrance to the villa is at the top level where you’ll find the kitchen with a large fridge/freezer, stove with 4 gas burners, oven, microwave dishwasher and washing machine; a bathroom with WC, sink and tub; two bedrooms, one with twin beds (can be made into a queen) and the second with queen bed; and a dining room with table for 6. The dining room and the two bedrooms all have access to a balcony overlooking the Mediterranean Sea.

To the left of the main entrance, a spiral staircase with 17 steps and a wrought iron railing leads down from the top level to a spacious and light middle level which is composed of an open plan sitting room with dining table for 6 and a living area with fireplace and TV. French doors open onto the terrace which is furnished with a dining table for 6 and sun chairs. Also on this middle level is a twin bedroom (can be made into a queen on request) with French doors opening onto the beautiful middle level terrace. Finally on the middle level are two full bathrooms, one with bathtub and the other with shower.

A stairway of 16 steps leads down to the ground level, where there is a library with a day-bed for a seventh guest. This floor has access to a large covered patio with ivy-covered arches framing the enchanting panorama. On one side of this patio is yet another large terrace, while on the other side is the stairway leading down (45 steps) to the garage. Please note there is no bathroom on this ground level.

If you choose to reserve this property rental for your vacation in Italy you will have the option to book a Welcome Basket which will be delivered just prior to your arrival. No need to stress over finding the nearest market for bread & cheese, wine and water, snacks and drinks. Provisions include various and seasonal ingredients to get you through the weekend. The Welcome Basket must be arranged in advance and paid for on-site in cash. Prices vary:
