Surrounded by green vegetation and yet only a few minutes from the old city center of Florence, since the mid 20th century it has been the home of an artisan cloth mill which was started by a Countess in order to continue the ancient Renaissance tradition of weaving by hand.

Guests may leave their car in the internal parking area and reach the old city center of Florence by public transportation (the bus stop is 200 meters away) in less than fifteen minutes. Therefore, guests at the villa have the rare privilege of living in one of the few quiet, green areas inside the city of Florence.
