This location offers total peace and quiet with a charming village only a minute away. Panzano is about 1.5 miles down the road. You will find artisan shops, a few restaurants and a very good enoteca, Il Vinaio (a wine bar for tasting and information on local producers) in Panzano. There is also a bus stop in Panzano which takes you into Florence if you prefer to leave the car behind. Parking in the town of Panzano shouldn’t be a problem. In Greve-in-Chianti, 10 minutes away, you’ll find the grocer, and major services like banks, post office and other stores.

From Panzano the main road through the Chianti Classico (the Chiantigiana) leads due south through countryside for about a mile, at which point an unpaved road leads down about ½ mile to your vacation home. The property itself enjoys total privacy. The swimming pool (6m x 13m; open April 30-October 1, 2011) is about 300 yards from the house and is shared with a farmhouse complex of 6 apartments belonging to the same estate. In the pleasant garden you'll find places to relax comfortably in the shade and enjoy a cold drink, or dine together with friends while enjoying the spectacular views.

The house has been furnished with an eye toward detail and impeccable taste, featuring mostly period pieces. On the ground floor are a spacious living room with satellite TV and a welcoming fireplace, kitchen/dining room with fireplace, and a laundry room with washing machine. There is also one bathroom with shower on the ground floor. On the first floor are 3 double bedrooms, 1 bathroom with bath tub and 1 bathroom with a shower. In the tower of the building are 2 small single bedrooms appropriate for children. The first was made from what was once the dovecot, and the second created from an attic area. These two single rooms are suitable for children, not adults, due to the size of the rooms and height of the ceilings.
