The apartment building is located just off via Tournabuoni, Florence’s couture shopping street, and 5 minutes on foot from Santa Maria del Fiore with Giotto's campanille, Piazza Signoria, Ponte Vecchio and Florence's central train station, Santa Maria Novella.

At the entrance level an elevator will take you to either the second or third floor, from where you can either walk up, or down a short flight of steps to reach the entry of this apartment. A round table by the large window serves as a dining table. There is a sofa that pulls out to become a double bed, and a comfortable armchair. A beautifully painted cupboard provides the wardrobe. An ochre-yellow cupboard decorated with prints of wildlife and painted with trompe l'oeil effects cleverly conceals the fully equipped kitchenette (small fridge, 2 burner electric stove, oven, Italian coffee maker, toaster). To the left of the space is a short flight of steps leads up to the laundry (washing machine, portable fan and storage closet). On the right-hand side of the kitchenette is the bathroom with a shower. The palazzo was built during the first half of the 14th century. In the 19th century it housed many painters' workshops which is probably why most of the flats have very large windows – the celebrated painter Ingres had his studio in one of the apartments.
