The villa is located about a ½ mile from the center of Arezzo along the road leading around the base of the hill town. While Arezzo is not far away, it is not advisable to walk due to the narrow road. The train from Arezzo to Florence is about an hour, while Rome is about 2 ½ hours.

Distances: Cortona and Lake Trasimeno 12.4 miles, Perugia and Siena 37 miles, Florence 47 miles. There is horseback riding 600 meters from the villa, and a golf course 22 miles away.

Outside

This is a splendid Tuscany villa rental that dates back to the 16th century; it has been completely restored internally and is set in the center of a vast property with olive groves, vineyards and woods affording peaceful views from the grounds of this Tuscany villa rental. From the entrance gate into the property you are welcomed by a well-tended lawn. To the side of the villa, facing away from town, is the swimming pool (8m x 16m; open mid-May to end of September) equipped with lounge chairs and a pool house with changing room and showers.

Inside

Villa on 3 floors; 8,608 sq ft.
On the ground floor is a living room with fireplace, lounge with TV, study, dining room, panoramic veranda, a simply furnished kitchen (oven, freezer, dishwasher, washing machine), and a bathroom with shower. On the first floor is a lounge, 4 double bedrooms with queen size beds, 3 of which have en-suite bathrooms with bathtubs. On the second floor (U.S. 3rd) is another lounge, 4 double bedrooms with queen size beds, 3 of which have en-suite bathrooms with bathtubs, 1 twin bedded room, and a bathroom with bathtub (this bathroom is not en-suite). The furniture is elegant and formal, yet comfortable with antique pieces. If you need anything during your stay, the caretaker and his family live in an apartment next to the villa. Included in the price is housekeeping service 4 hours per day (Monday to Friday) for the bedrooms and bathrooms; hours to be agreed upon on arrival. A cook is available on request. A baby-bed is also available on request.
