This charming Amalfi Coast villa rental is located in one of the most beautiful and panoramic areas overlooking the Mediterranean between Amalfi and Ravello, in an exclusive position. Take day trips to the Sorrento Coast as well as Naples, Mount Vesuvius, Pompeii, Herculaneum, Paestum, and the islands of Capri and Ischia.

Location

The villa is within walking distance (about 10 minutes) from the small village of Atrani where you will find restaurants, bars, shops, a bank and a post office. The nearest larger supermarket (Despar) is on the main road toward Ravello, about 1.5 miles away. About 200 meters from the villa there is a SITA bus stop which runs service to Amalfi (10 minutes) and Ravello (10 minutes); remember to purchase your tickets in advance from the tobacconist. From the port in Amalfi ferries and hydrofoils leave daily for Capri (1.5 hours), Positano (20 minutes), the Island of Ischia (2.5 hours) and for Salerno (1 hour). Keep in mind that most services operate with frequency only in the summertime. The nearest beach is Castiglione di Ravello, about 1 mile (about 180 steps!) away. Other beaches can be reached more comfortably by car or by bus in Atrani, Amalfi, Minori and Maiori.

Villa with 2 interior levels (2,500 sq ft); several terraces over various levels.
From the street level it is 19 steps up to the main floor of the villa; entrance is into a roomy and airy living room, furnished with large sofas placed around an open fireplace, and a crystal dining table for 6 with elegant wood chairs. There are large windows affording wide-open view of the seascape. French doors open onto a panoramic terrace with spectacular views. This terrace is equipped with wrought iron table and chairs for 6. Another French door from the living room opens onto a lateral terrace also with sea views. The kitchen can be reached from the living room and also from the terrace, making it easy and pleasant to organize outdoor meals. The kitchen is fully equipped with dining table for 8, 4-burner stove, dishwasher, microwave, oven, fridge, freezer and door leading to the terrace surrounded by pine trees and a mature violet bougainvillea. You will find this terrace perfect for outdoor meals in front of a breathtaking seascape. It is equipped with a large table for outdoor meals and shaded by awnings. Also on the main level are a laundry room and a bathroom with shower. A hallway behind the living room leads to a roomy bedroom with one double bed, one single bed, and en-suite bathroom with large shower stall; French doors open onto a terrace with sea views.

The upper level can be reached either through the indoor staircase (20 steps) or the elevator located next to the kitchen. On the upper level is a double bedroom with en-suite bathroom with bathtub and hand-held shower attachment; a double bedroom and a twin-bedded room which share a bathroom with a shower. Each bedroom in the villa has doors opening onto terraces with sea views, as well as their own TVs and individual climate controls for air conditioning. There is a telephone for incoming calls only, and a line for ADSL internet access.

You will likely arrive to the area by rental car, and will therefore be aware of the narrow roads along the coast – the driveway of this villa is no exception! Once you’ve navigated the entryway through a private security gate, there is a covered parking space at the end for one car, and room for 2 others in the tree-lined driveway. From the parking area there are 19 steps up to the main floor of the villa. The property consists of various levels of living space and terraces, so be prepared for a lively vacation! From every angle of the property you can admire the Lattari mountains, verdant with cultivations of lemons, which steeply plunge into the sea and enclose the narrow valleys of the villages of Minori and Maiori, the picturesque inlet of the coast, visible up to Capo d’Orso, and last but not least, the wide and splendid view of the Mediterranean sea. The terraces are filled with flowers, some of which are sun-drenched and others shaded by pergolas, trees or awnings. The pool (open May 1 - October 30) is situated on top of the villa and the five different levels of large terraces and gardens face the sun and the sea.
