This exquisite Tuscany villa rental is set in a charming corner of the Lucca valley in a fabulous location for exploring the region. From the villa it is possible to take lovely walks through the woods and countryside, and you will even find that an upscale and very good restaurant is within a 10 minute walk from the property. Although one could happily remain on the grounds of the villa all week in class and comfort, it is advisable to have rental cars for trips into town; Lucca is a short drive down the country road. In Lucca there is a main train station which will take you to Florence in an hour, as well as the other major towns in Tuscany and beyond. Villa Cacciatore is a 10 minute drive from Lucca, 25 minutes from the Pisa airport, and about an hour from Florence. Two main highways are close by - the A11 for access to Florence, Rome, Bologna, Verona and Venice; and the A12 for access to Genoa, Livomo, Milan, the South of France and Monaco.

While easily accessible to the many sights and glories of Tuscany, in many ways Villa Cacciatore is its own destination. With its parkland of ornamental ponds and antique fountains, time-forgotten courtyards and lemon scented Italian gardens and gazebo; it is the quintessence of all that is enchanting about Tuscany. Particularly charming is the little piazza off the kitchen for casual outdoor dining. One side of the villa features the floodlit swimming pool (8m x 16m x 2m).

This elegant and exclusive Tuscany villa, restored to its original 1700s glory, offers not only a taste of Italy's history, but also every amenity that marks modern luxury. A fully equipped kitchen appropriate for cooking classes and demonstrations, grand dining room, drawing room/TV lounge with satellite and DVD, guest office with computer, staff quarters, printer and internet facilities, workout room with weights and cardiovascular training equipment and central air conditioning and heat ensure the comforts of the twenty-first century. A wine library and private collection of Tuscan wines, card and billiard room, sun lounge and domed music room with fire place, on the other hand, provide a taste of the luxury of an elegant lifestyle all but lost in today’s world. Four bathrooms complete the ground floor amenities. Upstairs, the twelve double bedrooms (4 of which can convert to twins), each with en suite bathroom equipped with shower and bath, hairdryers, telephone, individually controlled air conditioning and heating, stereo piped in, feature individual views of the enchanting surrounding gardens, olive groves, hillsides and pool.

There is a laundry facility on the second floor on the exterior of the guest living quarters, and on request it is possible to have staff do some laundry. You may also arrange to use the iron and ironing board. There are several mountain bikes available for use by guests.

On arrival you will be met by the property manager who will help you get settled and who will be available throughout your stay for assistance. For your convenience the kitchen is stocked with soft drinks and water, tea, coffee, sugar, a selection of cereals, milk, butter, cheeses, fruits and fresh bread.
